Abstract

The study of Islamic Sufism is a fundamental gateway to understanding the spiritual and intellectual structure of Islamic civilization. In Algeria, Sufi orders—foremost among them the Alawiyya order—have played a significant role in shaping both individuals and society and have served as a domain for the formation of local religious consciousness. The said study aims to analyze concepts such as kashf (unveiling), ta’wīl (hermeneutical interpretation), and dhawq (mystical taste), as keys to understanding the Mustaghanemi Sufi experience and to demonstrate their role in renewing Islamic gnosis within the context of modern Algerian society.
