The present paper traces the features of the integrative approach in the light of the methodologies and theories of modern linguistics. The theoretical approach seeks demonstrating the features and dimensions of the methodology of modern linguistic studies starting with De Saussure's ideas and then the subsequent developments. The concept of integration has an active presence in the methodological foundation of modern linguistics having different images and dimensions. One of its features is the integration between the methodologies of modern linguistic studies on one hand and between its linguistic levels on the other hand; in the integrative relationship between the linguistic theory and its applications on one hand, and the relationship between linguistics and other fields of study on the other hand.. In addition to this is the linguistic school's quest to achieve methodological integration in its theories overcoming the deficiency in the previous theories by revision and development , and by adding to or correcting them..
