The incident of burning the Holy Qur’an Eloquent responses and the formation of a unified identity A study in light of public rhetoric
Abstract
The Holy Qur’an is the divine constitution revealed to the Prophet of Mercy, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The Holy Qur’an is reverence and it is respected by all Muslims, regardless of their beliefs and the variety of their sects. Therefore, this attack is an attack on the sanctities of Muslims and their constitution, and it is a provocation for two billion Muslims around the world. From this point of view, the wave of protest, condemnation, denunciation and rejection of the incident of burning the Holy Qur’an on the first day of Eid formed an eloquent response rejecting transgression of the Holy Qur’an. On these eloquent responses, knowing their forms and analyzing them, using a contemporary rhetorical branch, which is Audience rhetoric, to try to monitor the responses that addressed this incident and considered it as a discourse that establishes hatred, hostility, and discrimination.
