Religious Rationality in Cognitive Science of Religion Michael Murray and Religious Beliefs Justification

Abstract

Cognitive science seeks to understand religion and religious behavior by searching for its biological and cognitive abilities and how these roots were able to appear and continue throughout historical periods and in every time and place in which there are human beings.

 Michael Muraay criticized  the arguments of (cognitive sciences) which claim that religious beliefs were born into existence by means of cognitive abilities like (HADD\ hypersensitive agency detecting device).  Murray urge that It does not show more than one thing, which is that "we possess certain cognitive abilities " under some conditions that lead to the emergence of beliefs in the existence of humans and entities.  So Murray goes to the point that he does not consider the mechanisms of belief formation or (belief) as unreliable, nor (in general) the formed beliefs as being unjustified.
