Employing proverbs in literary messages The serious message of Ibn Zaydun by choice

Abstract

This research discusses, reads carefully the serious letter of Ebn Zaydoun, and how Ebn Zaydoun employed the proverbs in his well-known letter that contains the high literary value. Ebn Zaydoun wrote his letter while he was in the prison, living one of the toughest years of his life where nothing to use for writing but his memory. Nevertheless, he gave us important wide referrals and citations from the orient heritage.

And the proverbs came to be a significant part of this letter, it added a great graphic and argument value to the letter, the letter contained fifteen proverbs, some proverbs came unchanged as stated in proverbs books while others have been changed.

In the first section, research goes with the traditional vision that sees that Ebn Zaydoun had written his letter to propitiation Ebn Jahwar and the proverbs came to scrupulousness this aim and defend his innocence at which he entered.

In section two, the research attested to a new vision, different, that Ebn Zaydoun may in his letter he went to attack the authority represented by Abu Al Hazm Ebn Jahwar which put him in the prison talking to his citations in the different texts including proverbs as a weapon to confrontation the authority.

Ebn Zaydoun proved height of his heel as cultural authority prevail over political authority
